TEXT: Gen. 11:1-9
INTRODUCTION: Prayer is a powerful force, far more powerful than all the bombs in the world. This is because prayer can change many things and can bring the impossible into the realm of the possible. However there are different kinds of prayers, Eph. 6:18, and some prayer are more powerful than others. In this study we want to discuss one of the most powerful forms of prayer. It is called the prayer of agreement, Matt. 18:19. May the Lord answer our united prayers tonight in Jesus, Name. Amen.
WHEN PEOPLE GATHER TOGETHER IN JESUS NAME, HE IS IN THEIR MIDST WITH ALL HIS POWER.
It is not the intention of the Lord that a Christian casino online be a lone ranger This is because He knows that there is great strength in unity. Now when two or more people gather together in His name Jesus Himself will be in their midst with all His power and majesty. It becomes easier to praise and worship God. It becomes easier to talk to God and about God. Faith becomes united and strengthened; prayers are more quickly heard and answered because the one to whom we are praying is not only present but intimately involved in the praying.
Let us look at the following scriptures and casinonted examine what each of them is saying regarding the subject of agreement:
Hebrews 10:25
Luke 10:1
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Exodus 17:9-12
Deuteronomy 32:30
Joshua 23:10
Matthew 18:20
John 20:24-29
Revelations 7:9-12
Acts 2:1-4; Acts. 2:46-47; Acts 12:5-12; Acts 16:25-26.
John 17:23
Galatians 2:20
1 John 4:4.
CONCLUSION:
The Bible says, “How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…” Ps. 133:1-3. From today’s study, it is glaring that a lot of powerful spiritual tasks can be accomplished through agreement. This is the major reason why the devil does not want unity and agreement among people who are meant to be having relationships. Check yourself, is there any way you have been allowing the enemy to have a field day because you refuse to be in agreement with some one you have a relationship with? May the Lord give us the grace to do what is right.
