BRANCH PASTOR – MINISTER OF RELIGION

The duties of the post include:

• Planning of Programs and Activities for the Young Adult Church
• Regular Preaching and Teaching in the Young Adult Church’s Services
• Devising, establishing, developing, and overseeing a mentoring program and meetings with young people to provide support, study the bible, and pray.
• Identifying and developing the gifts and talents of young people and volunteers, and encouraging active participation in church life, including youth-led services.
• To provide Pastoral Care for the Young people
• All other functions as assigned by the Executive Pastor of the Church
• Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required for Assistant Parish Pastor (Minister of Religion)
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; a degree in theology would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 2 years of experience or volunteer work in a church is needed
• Must be Fluent in English (Required); knowledge of at least one African
• language will be an added advantage
• Must be a faithful Christian and be able to uphold basic Christian doctrines.
• He/she should be able to work with diverse members of the congregation.

Guaranteed salary for the Assistant Parish Pastor (Minister of Religion): £ 26,000 pa

Basic working hours are 37.5 hours per week
